Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the rose 0.72% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:), which rose 3.82% or 97.00 points to trade at 2,639.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:) added 3.38% or 131.00 points to end at 4,010.00 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:) was up 3.26% or 61.00 points to 1,930.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:), which fell 3.15% or 990.00 points to trade at 30,400.00 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:) declined 1.60% or 1,140.00 points to end at 70,130.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:) was down 1.59% or 91.00 points to 5,627.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 335 to 136 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.31% or 0.95 to $71.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.03% or 0.79 to hit $75.62 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 14.15 to trade at $2,022.95 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.18% to 3.65, while EUR/ILS fell 0.30% to 3.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.53% at 101.80.
