Guaranty Bancshares’ top finance executive, Clifton Payne, is retiring after four decades with the bank holding company.
The Addison, Texas, company on Monday said Payne, currently senior executive vice president and chief financial officer, will step down as finance chief on Dec. 29 and retire at the end of March 2024.
Guaranty said Shalene Jacobson, who joined the company in 2016 and currently serves as chief financial officer of its Guaranty Bank & Trust unit, will succeed Payne as finance chief of the parent company.
Payne, who joined Guaranty in 1984 and has been chief financial officer since 1996, has been the company’s principal accounting officer for 35 years.
