Germany stocks lower at close of trade; DAX down 0.44%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the declined 0.44%, while the index declined 0.71%, and the index lost 0.44%.

The best performers of the session on the were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which rose 5.57% or 0.98 points to trade at 18.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Qiagen NV (ETR:) added 2.15% or 0.90 points to end at 42.75 and Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) was up 1.68% or 0.92 points to 55.52 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:), which fell 3.72% or 9.80 points to trade at 253.40 at the close. Zalando SE (ETR:) declined 2.65% or 0.82 points to end at 30.09 and MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 2.44% or 5.60 points to 224.20.

The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 4.34% to 7.89, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was up 3.53% to settle at 1.04 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which gained 3.35% to close at 8.45.

The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 3.87% to 70.60 in late trade, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which lost 2.75% to settle at 36.09 and Fraport AG (ETR:) which was down 2.36% to 49.27 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 3.57% to 24.07, Kontron AG (ETR:) which was up 3.48% to settle at 19.65 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which gained 3.35% to close at 8.45.

The worst performers were Suse SA (ETR:) which was down 4.73% to 12.48 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 3.87% to settle at 70.60 and Eckert & Ziegler AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 2.56% to 46.46 at the close.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 344 to 295 and 109 ended unchanged.

Shares in Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.57% or 0.83 to 24.07. Shares in Suse SA (ETR:) fell to all time lows; losing 4.73% or 0.62 to 12.48.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 5.43% to 17.48.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.15% or 2.90 to $1,974.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.01% or 1.45 to hit $73.50 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.79% or 1.36 to trade at $77.35 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 103.42.
