Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.73%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the rose 0.73%.

The best performers of the session on the were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:), which rose 1.91% or 5.40 points to trade at 288.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:) added 1.77% or 7.60 points to end at 437.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:) was up 1.44% or 9.00 points to 634.70 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:), which fell 1.93% or 25.00 points to trade at 1,271.00 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:) declined 1.60% or 1.90 points to end at 116.50 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:) was down 1.06% or 1.48 points to 137.60.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 94 to 54 and 16 ended unchanged.

Shares in GN Store Nord (CSE:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.60% or 1.90 to 116.50.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.74% or 3.34 to $85.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.63% or 3.30 to hit $87.62 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.95 to trade at $1,839.55 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.45% to 7.09, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 106.46.
