Power and data-cabling company Volex said it has been hit by a cyberattack that led to unauthorized access to certain IT systems and data at some of its international sites, though disruption is minimal.
Shares at 0822 GMT were down 10 pence, or 3.2%, at 300.5 pence.
London-listed Volex said the actions taken following the breach–such as enacting security protocols, preventing access and engaging third-party consultants to investigate–have ensured that all sites remain operational, with minimal disruption to global production levels. The company continues to trade with customers and suppliers, it said.
“At this stage, any financial impact resulting from the incident is not expected to be material,” the company said.
